Breath

Updated: Jul 7, 2025

I failed once again.

A deep breath cost my intent,

Now, I stand haunted before my silhouette, suffocated.

As I chase the stolen fire fading away, for I’m draped in darkness.

There’s an eerie cold in the warmth,

all I hear is the loud thud of my heart.

I fear the upcoming dawn, for I’m scared,

The ticking noise the clock makes.

The blood rushing in me reverberates the echoes,

I once lost in the chaos.

Within, it’s death but I’ll somehow live.

Thus, I’ll take another breath,

To not suffocate.
