Breakthrough

Take one, take two.

Lately I been waiting for a breakthrough, breakthrough.

Take one, take two.

Lately I been waiting for a- I said I’m-

Waiting for a breakthrough.

What breaks you is the very thing that makes you. We don’t need a take two.

We need truthfulness.

We need proof your fruit provides fruitfulness.

I need the faith to Matthew 17:20.

We talk of Him, but we don’t understand the full extent He had to go through for us to go through a life He understands, that He knows. So He knows you.

The Only One I spoke to

That gives illogical peace.

I overthought it; now I need a psychological release.

Here’s a piece of advice:

If you wanna see increase, but you wanna add vice, you ain’t seeing it precisely.

The bill of regret becomes pricey,

And then dicey, success unlikely.

I’m saying it politely.

Whatever you choose, be sure you choose wisely. I’m lively.

Sat down long enough.

When you’re anchored in the truth, you can see through all the bluff, all the stuff

That they don’t want you to see.

You should be who you are, not who they want you to be. They want me-

Deadbeat, dead weight,

Afraid to show love ‘cause we love to spread hate.

And I ain’t saying that I got a clean slate,

I’m just saying we should work on tryna keep the slate clean.

Clean plates, clean hands, clean hearts, clean minds,

Clean tongues, clean lyrics, clean lines, clean rhymes,

But the flow so dirty.

I do a song justice when I show no mercy, ‘cause it’s J-U-S-T-I-N.

I’m that dawg; you won’t find me with a feline friend.

JB and JC, all we need is AC.

Cold, hard conversations about me being lazy,

Unfaithful, hateful, prideful, and lost.

Why You bothered, why You’d cover all the cost.

It’s like, am I a song You’d wanna sing?

Am I a bride who’s even worthy of a ring?

God, I don’t know. You’re the only One Who knows.

I’m too focused on the cons to appreciate the pros.

Good Lord, tell me what You think about,

‘Cause I’ve been thinking ‘bout the things I’d drink about, and maybe roll one up, smoke the problem away,

And tell myself my life is worth another day.

Maybe I’m the reason why the evil comes back.

I’m the type to cut you off before I try to cut slack.

I took a swing and life swung back.

What y’all know ‘bout having baggage you don’t wanna unpack?

Wrote a rap I don’t think I’ll ever publicly release.
