Breaking leather chair

I sit on a breaking leather chair

Sipping my tea as I feel the warmth around me and through my throat

I can feel carpeted floors under my feet

And I can see a sewing table

I smell a familiar scent

Where is that from?

The suns rays shine from behind me

I hear talking coming from a small flat screen tv

I feel warmth against my left arm

What is that familiar warmth?

I hear that voice

Granny?

Her body sits against the same joined leather chair

She holds a cup of tea in her frail hands

Her feet on the same carpeted floor

Her arm against mine

I rest my head on her shoulder as I soak in the warmth from all around me

She rubs me with her gentle hands

Her touch fades as the warmth does

The sun gone too

I sit on a cold metal chair

Alone

I hear nothing but the sound of tears being blinked away

Be still

I can feel a warm breeze

I can see only the sun

I can hear birds rhyming and water dancing

Is this the joy after grief?
