Books

The pages feel different as you touch them,

After years reading from screens.

PDFs really destroyed the joy of reading,

The screens taking over our minds.

The joy of reading beneath the low light so immaculate,

Turning pages awaiting what lies next.

Running along the shelfs,

In search of the book our hearts matched with.

Simplest joy hidden inside those pages,

Happiness hidden in the words of someone so unknown yet so known.

Torn pages, dust, piled up in the backyard,

Once meant the world to us.

From asking for the book I dearly wanted,

To having a book written by me

Times changed for the good.

But I'll never forget the old love for it lies within me.
