Never did I hate my misaligned pearls

Bare for the world though I never minded

the close intimacy of trained hands inspecting

Jagged bone I reminisce the pain of teeth

torn away— and away— ARAY— and away–

As my conscious unmedicated voice LAUGHED after

negative forty thousand pesos– A “gift”!

The curse of eating only soft foods!

Sharp awkward metal bound by UV light

New-bands-tug-my-sharp-pearls-so-tight

like a gothic maiden being choked to death!

Tugging on my jaw, scrapes on my bare flesh

Drying words/saliva on the tip of my tongue

Fresh with mint/rotting with meat long past

Forced to adjust/freely given grins in spite of it all–

A chipper whistle through bone, metal, and rubber!
