"Blue Eyes & Rain"

By Cal Burgess

Technicolor hallucinations,

Rowan branches and bowls of lime,

      Forest mushrooms and incarnations,

I see a face and the world I left behind–

Blue eyes and rain,

White clouds, and sun another day

      My soul seems stained,

          So I might just walk

And I’ll dream my life away.
