BLOOD SACRIFICE

What in those curious eyes

Inquisitive wisp on your forehead fall

To see his beloved storeys high

And sigh at her sweet talk

What in that silky mane

Strike a pose with a smoulder bold

Yet those eyes seem to talk

For the mind cannot bear it all

What in those dragging feet

Broken heart and a serene smile

But in that moment everything stops

And the heart flutters as she passes by

What in those rosy cheeks

Longing in those eyes that gaze

Yet the dimple in your cheek

Is lost in a moment of mocking haste

And come the snow of snowflake love

Satin in its words galore

Yet all your blush and blunt desire

Fades into the ombre of autumn fall

Those weary leaves that falls down

Into tears of a consoling touch

If only you saw them bloodshot eyes

That’s been out in the rain too much

Because in this storm of deafening pain

Head splits twice, night and day

And to take refuge in solitude

You must smile the pain away

Yet you walk with head held high

When they divide us saffron black

For all the river of red that is made

Take me as blood sacrifice

With solemn steps, head held down

And the hardened heart in misery

I’ll laugh away my tears dry

While you blush at our memories
