My father must've feared me,

As I looked at him as though my eyes were daggers,

And screamed with my whole chest

"Daddy I love him!"

My lover must've feared me,

As I stared long into his eyes as though my own were telescopes,

And announced with my arms spread, and heels floating

"Daddy, I love you."

He must've thought it strange

How I would do my hair like a young girl,

Into long braids that sat on my breasts,

And smile like a child.

Then he must've wondered,

How my hips swayed, and curved, and lifted in all the right ways,

How I knew to pose for the pictures,

And cry like a woman.

My lover must've feared me more than hell,

When I ran from my father, furious and howling,

And came to him, doe eyed and infatuated,

My little frilly dress stained with my tears,

and my lace peeking through, and said

"Daddy, I love you."
