Bleeding with ink

I wish your name was foreign to me, I wish we never met

For the name that once was a prayer, now only echoes hate

In silver-spoon you fed me sweet little lies and fallacies of forever

And I painted the perfect picture where we are eternally together

I mistook cobwebs for silk and in hands of the devil placed my  glass-like fragile heart

You shattered it to pieces because the eyes of a sadist see tears as a work of art

You crucified my dreams, spat on wounds and mercilessly crushed my  earnest devotion

The worst part is I said “thank you” and brought upon me  a violent storm of self-destruction

My helpless cries reached deaf ears, your silence created scars deeper than your words

Slowly I sinked in quicksands of sorrow and muted miseries tarnished my works

Stupid me imagined this is momentary, that this will very soon pass

Little did I know I was pouring my love in a useless broken glass

That I was just a riverside pebble you picked up in your leisure

To be thrown to create little ripples in your life for pleasure

That your love was temporary like your rented house

In skin of a courageous lion you were a cowering mouse

My broken heart pumped regrets with blood each breath

Searched for solace in benevolent embrace of death

But every storm eventually runs out of rain

A phoenix burns down to ashes to rise again

In palms of poetry, I found the cure of this malady

The potion to resurrect me from this tomb of tragedy

You left my lifeless corpse to be a meal of crows

But in the darkest of nights I would bloom like tuberose

The drawbridge has been raised, you are no longer welcome in this fortress

The prey has turned to predator, the once game, is now a huntress

You forgot broken shards of glass make the perfect sword

Beauty died in your hands to rebirth a vengeful beast that roared

Dreamers aren’t afraid of night, I will bleed with ink and write

Weave every yarn of pain into poems , let the pen be my guiding light
