Bleeding Crescents

By Karun Balarajan

Army of Moors through the stone walls.

City of Caesar, therefore falls.

The crescents cut the byzantine heads.

The Holy Cross had broken and bled!

Cannons and bombs break the fort.

The swords forcing the ones to abort.

Churches are now amber with fire.

The culture now is drowned in mire.

The New Rome, Now in Crumbs

Toppling like the earth in lumps.

The moors pierce through the fort

Taking the blade for the sport.

The crescents stained with blood.

The city ruined by a human flood.

The fury of Eris bringing the storm.

From her, comes the fleshy swarm.
