Black Panther

He was an icon

For black children here and there

Some remember the actor

Most remembers the suit he wears

To some, he was Jackie

But the most he was the king

The suit and the mantle

So much change he would bring

He was strong. He was fast.

He was ready when danger would ring

He was beloved by all

No one knew that so soon his last curtain would be called

Fighting bad guys in the screen

And cancer behind the scenes

Long live Legacy

May he live in every black child, including me

Through his struggle, he never yielded

Now he’s gone, can’t see the movement he has builded

He wore the suit with honor

And nobody will confuse him

Death itself is an illusion

It is not the end

but a new beginning

May in his new life just like this one he may be winning

He’s a legend on the screen and every page ever read

I wish you could come back just to say he is not dead

To place him you could never

Where he lives in the Hearts and screens

Wakanda forever
