Black China Rose

Updated: Feb 9, 2024

By Abhinav Nath Jha

I'm a blotting black china rose,

Chasing redemption like a dog going after his own tail.

Have traded sober tidbits of love,

For addictive, bleak molly-coddling.

But after bludgeons of fatality, time and over,

The wind chimes are howling.

Timelessness graces with numbing euphorias of her death-bells,

I lie in the grass, awake,

Staring at the irredeemability of fractured perfection.
