Beyond The Ledge

There are ups and downs in life

Its okay to be falling when

You will be climbing next

But as the ledge gets further away

A new fear arouses

What if it’s a void?

A one-way trip?

You seem to be asking yourself thrashing mid fall,

Opposing until it gets

To the foundation of you

And shatters you

Afterwards it’s up to the perceiving

One might call it the new beginning

While the pessimist might coin it

As the end of an era

But for what I see it is the continuity;

The bridge allowing you to wander

From present to past

Its not shedding of old skin to be better

Its about finding peace

With who you are
