Beyond The Borders

By Prisha Dhawan

Who is a soldier ?

They stand tall,

Protecting the country from fall,

They stand tall.

Embrace risk and death,

Give their youth and every breath.

But wait- if duty is to protect the land,

Why does only one profession hold it in hand?

We all know the need of cash,

But for it is our moral compass meant to crash?

From medical to business,

If all prioritise personal gain,

Over national pain.

resorts to lies,

Where will the future lie?

Who is a soldier ?

Is loyalty shown only by fighting with steel,

Or the way we live and the way we feel.

Remember easy profit bought by sin,

Will only bring something akin.

If we are honest in our work,

No enemy can lurk.
