Between The Lines Of Love and Life – a Web of Connections
By B S Anagha
Blood relations—we have mother, father, brother, sister,
Cousins, uncles, and aunts—once they felt much closer.
Brothers nudging sisters, mothers pampering sons,
Fathers standing strong behind their daughters.
Small, thoughtful gifts from loving grandparents—
But taunts, blame, and scant support from some relatives.
True colours emerge when times grow tough—
It’s emotional, because blood is thicker than water.
Husband and wife share love… do they really?
Perhaps problems can be sorted—eventually.
He drives, she brakes—
Children, the wheels, spin them in all directions.
Friendship sails like a ship across the ocean—
Riding winds, braving waves, crossing tides.
Silly laughs, deep talks, and shared meals,
Secrets and sorrows passed between giggles.
We all have those nosy and helpful neighbours.
Teachers and students—learning, yearning,
Growing together in more than knowledge.
Employees, colleagues, and employers—
With their own strategies and silent dynamics.
Leadership, ownership, goals, and pressure—
Professional ties—not without their measure.
But the most forgotten bond of all—
Is the one with the self.
Neglected, overlooked, often let go…
Yet it’s the root from which all others grow.
