Between my soul & me

My something that stays in secret,

Something I can never win over,

Something that keeps the light in me,

Something about me to remember;

I seek for a complete solitude somewhere,

Drowned in the seas of intoxication in the day,

With a hysteria in eyes that'd cry in the dark,

But that something makes me walk away;

I pull the darkest shadows on me,

While sleep takes me towards a gruesome dream,

That something seeks a sublime sleep,

But the torment in me wants me to scream;

There's a fight between my demon & angel,

They refuse to leave the side of me,

While despair dons for the demon to win,

That angel chooses to stay within;

There's an incandescent misery or so,

That manifests in me like a serrated blade,

My soul bleeds slowly in the middle of everything,

The angel weeps for the innocence that passed away.
