Beginning Of The End

By Aastha Gupta

‘End of the beginning’ - they say this phrase a lot,

mostly when they’re hinting a sequel,

but in real life, this little phrase means a whole lot,

because here, LIFE is the sequel.

It is the end, but it is not,

It is the beginning, but it is not.

You are going somewhere else,

you are doing something else,

you are meeting someone else,

but you are not.

You are crying that it is over,

but you are laughing that it is here.

You are happy that you get to live something else,

or maybe you are just relieved that you are out of this beginning,

the beginning that lasted forever,

went forward and then turned gears backwards, towards the end,

it is the ‘end of the beginning’,

but the start of the forever.

The forever where you will find multiples of ‘end of the beginning’,

because you are still here, you are now here at the “beginning of the end”.
