Befriended a Foe

By Nishtha Mishra

Taken aback by the dreadful sight,

Portrayed pictures, hatred-full eyes.

Say no more, they absorb attention,

Said it all, they emit despise.

I pitifully turn my back against,

But they stare, despite.

They pierce though my skin,

As they eat me inside.

They know no need,

They fear no sight.

Amazingly balanced,

The two different sides.

Once a friend now a foe,

This is what you wanted, say no more.

We had it all but now it’s all sore,

You told me to write one, well there you go.
