Before It Fades

By GR Madhukar

Life is brief, a passing breeze,

moments slip by, with gentle ease,

too small for grudges, too short for hate,

so, live it fully, before it’s late

Chase your dreams, laugh out loud,

stand tall, be humble, yet be proud,

love with all your heart and might,

for the clock keeps ticking, day and night.

No time to linger, not time to wait,

the present is precious, do not hesitate,

do what you love, while life’s in a bloom,

before it fades into a quiet gloom.

And when your story nears its end,

let peace be your dearest friend.
