Bedridden, your knife

In the wistful mountains you stand, a bouquet of flowers, a sword in hand.

Defeated, is what they’d write, it's what they see, what is factually right.

Your blade, neglected and dull as you’d never been one to fight.

Scream till the throat’s all out of ache, till no amount of warmth could smoothen out the pain.

Marble floors smeared with disdain, a relic of what had passed, what is here to stay.

Bloodstained empires of gold and silver remains.

In the lush forests you find home, youthful songs ringing in blissful tone.

Disrupted, is what you’d say, it’s what you feel, what you think is real.

‘Revolutionize, invent, and consume’ they preach, but you’re not one to listen to foreign retreats.

Crushed in the footsteps of history, hands engraved in caves, the first man to ever stand.

Yet still they want to claim this land, the determined drive on creating their new brand.
