Bed of Secrets

By Mehana Agnihotri

A bed of secrets

Blanketed by lies

In which you sleep

On pillows stuffed

With dazzling smiles

Smiles so blindingly bright

It fogs your sight

Towards the monstrous prisoner

Silently screaming in

The dead of the night

But one day

The monsters will come out

From under the bed

When the quilt on the untruths

Shall be shed

They shall finally

Walk about free

And those who have made this bed?

In it shall they sleep
