Bearing you

Within me lived a whole you

Sparkles of every stardust of yours

Lightened up the unknown shades of me

Never grew to carry that universe

But tried it with at most grace.

Happiness of bearing it, made me shine

Little more, at times little less.

Wasn’t it overwhelming at times?

Still, to be the rays of colors were

Not less than vain efforts of self-discovery.

Dream which gifted your never ending

Smile in your eyes, carried me too

All those efforts to the world’s most

Attractive addiction, did excite us

Maybe I started living then

I could know that doing things which

I never thought of, was just a step away

From being part of someone else’s love.

When the deep-set scars were cured by

The fruits of all efforts, we discovered

That love helps us grow and flourish

And then the wings were left to me

Still, I carry it with at most pride.

And yes, I was wrong, whole of you

Live within me with all beauty.
