Be Good Anyway

Even if you are kind,

People might think of having,

 ulterior motives in mind.

 BE KIND ANYWAY.

Even if you are honest,

People might cheat you to resonate.

BE HONEST ANYWAY.

Even if people are rude,

Unfairly got you  screwed,

FORGIVE THEM ANYWAY.

Even if it takes years to build,

People might destroy it overnight, without any guilt.

BUILD AGAIN ANYWAY.

Even if you  have been good to the world,

People might forget tomorrow and get twirled.

DO GOOD ANYWAY.

Even if you share responsibilities well,

People might not care ,in the dark if you dwell.

BE  RESPONSIBLE  ANYWAY.

Even if you are grateful for little things in life,

People might not realise that everyday you apologize.

HAVE GRATITUDE ANYWAY.

Because,

in the final analysis,

evaluation of efforts in service.

It was  never between you,

and the people that you know.

It was atwix you and God,

At his will, we are flawed.

So ,SERVE HIM ANYWAY.
