This pen drawing expresses my discomfort with zoos. While they’re often seen as sanctuaries that rescue and protect animals, what I see is confinement, a lifelong captivity. It reflects our human tendency to justify control under the bias of compassion, and to view the world not as it truly is, but through the lens of our own convenience and comfort.
