Bargain

I knew you were an angel.

But the demons inside you were the ones who,

Cursed you with wings.

They gave you the power to fly.

They gave you infinite strength.

And then when the time came,

They dragged you down to hell.

I wonder, are my demons worth anything?

Worthy enough to bring you back to me.

I tried to speak to the devil last night.

But alas as you always do,

Your words changed the devil’s mind.

You had turned me into an angel in his eyes.

I can no longer enter the gates of hell.

Because you are the guard,

And your words turned me - a sinner to a saint.
