Baggages

By Phoenix

You travel with one bag,

You believe you are a nomad.

A bag full of essentials (only)

Everything is disposable, I believe.

Mum, I am a solo traveller,

Forget me as your only daughter.

I am going on a journey,

Light has entered and now I can finally see.

This bag is heavy on the back,

No complaints, it always keeps me on track.

Intelligence or intuition, it’s a constant struggle

I want to let go but the bag tightly snuggles.

Now the time has come, I have to make a choice

Between you and me, I need some time.

So I let go, what I tightly behold

To let the stories of the new world slowly unfold.
