Badge of Honor

What’s your purpose, heart?

To break,

To heal,

To drown in searing pain,

To float with euphoria.

Then why am I afraid?

You do what you’re best at…

And every time you splinter into a million fragments,

I’ll bind you together,

Piece by piece,

And we’ll wear the cracks like a badge of honor for loving without hesitation.
