Back To Innocence
By Deeksha Agrawal
Little hands dig sand, making happy piles high
Chocolates kiss their cheeks, laughter catches the sky
Like tiny penguins they step, adorable sight
Didn't God make them precious, pure delight?
Cries fill the air for wants so small and true
One chocolate, milk that's tasty — that's what they pursue
Those tears speak softly to a mother's gentle soul
Her love wraps around them, making everything whole
We recall our own childhood with longing eyes
Wanted freedom then, wanted to touch morning skies
But now flashbacks come like whispers in night
Reminding us of joys both lost and felt so bright
We grew up caring , now we care in different ways
Love remains, like a thread that ties our days.
We took things light but now we carry weight
Growing up happened, with love that doesn't fade.
