AUTUMN’S AWAKENING

Autumn's gold falls on, As their dried souls drift apart, With woody, creaky steps, I wander, Witnessing the fleeting heart of autumn.

Let life unfold, showcasing itself, Those marvellous scenes, few unseen, As the paint sweeps the paths ahead, With leaves of oaks and maples.

These fall leaves sing tales, Of the dead decay and renewal, When despair runs and life turns, As the creaky steps on the soft paths.

Never I see those paths, to never turn back, Like the fallen leaves of autumn left behind, Yet, the blooms afresh, laden with green, My soul's earth fresh again.

I find solace in this moment anew, As the leaves shed and sprout over, The woody steps, soft, I wander, Breathing sighs of serenity's refrain.
