Autumn In Kashmir

A dusky light embraced chinars hue,

A zephyr made the leaves fall,

Those wee hours of twilight embossed,

Tales of fallen leaves of chinar..


The colours of chinar drape the vale,

Like a soft golden pashmina shawl,

The air carries a wife of chill,

From the mighty mountains of Pir panjal.


A scenic view is painted,

In gardens of Nishat and Shalimar,

The valley embraces a magical look,

In the serene month of fall.


The cold of dawn & warmth of noon,

The season of autumn has it all,

The valley of kashmir is entranced,

In the serene month of fall...
