Athu, Giru and Tora's Exploration: The Color-Changing Friend

By Sandhya

On a bright spring morning, Athu was happily watering the garden when he spotted something amazing. A small lizard on a leaf was doing something magical – it was changing color right before his eyes!

"Giru! Tora!" he called out, his heart racing with excitement. "Come see this! Hurry!"

His friends came running, their faces curious. "What is it, Athu?"

"Look at the leaf!" Athu whispered, pointing with a trembling finger. "The lizard – it changed from brown to green!"

Tora's eyes sparkled with recognition. "That's a chameleon," she said softly. "They're very special creatures."

"But how does it do that?" Athu asked, unable to look away from the tiny miracle.

Giru smiled and knelt beside him. "It's like they have tiny paintbrushes in their skin," he explained. "Special cells help them change color to hide, talk to other chameleons, or even stay comfortable in the sun!"

The chameleon turned one eye toward them, as if sharing a secret. Its color shifted again, perfectly matching the leaf it sat upon.

"It's like a superhero!" Athu giggled, spreading his arms wide. "I wish I could change colors too! Then I could blend in with anything!"

As they watched their new friend, the garden seemed more magical than ever before. Sometimes the most wonderful discoveries are hiding right in your own backyard, waiting to be found.
