April and Acetone

Showering amber diamonds Of a chaotic April evening, And piercing smell of acetone Stirs agitation than ever, To repeat a familiar mistake Of staring at the storm With music in my ears. Odd shivering in my mortal frame Every small details of your nails, And fingers have started to absorb, Etched differently in my brain.

Squinting your eyes behind your fringe As you laugh at your fingers’ shape, There was more that grew stronger Than the smell of fruity acetone. It rushes dizzily to my brain, All the chemicals in work, Overwhelming warmth and relief To not think about the ultimate end, To forget about time passed and left, To be in a place, untouched; To be next to you. I am not mesmerised, But I am memorising how I feel When our shoulders touch Any movement spreads your scent It is not yet mesmerising, But I am memorising All of this April evening.
