Toxic thoughts corrupt our minds.

They tend to erode our characters.

They are detrimental to our mental health.

And lead us astray from common sense.

As our body flushes out unwanted materials,

Let's try and get rid of them forever.

Toxic thoughts are seedlings of hatred.

They thrive on the soil of greed.

They raise their ugly heads rapidly,

If watered with anger and jealousy.

Ego and pride serve as the nourishment.

They will yield the fruits of violence and bloodshed.

Toxic thoughts are more harmful than we think.

They ruin the peaceful ambiance.

And lead to a war-like situation.

Toxic thoughts stem from misunderstanding.

Only to grow thorns of harsh words.

Let's not give them space to grow.

Or they would become a garden of misery.

They would bring rainfall of tears.

And cause the sea of depression to overflow.

      Win or not to win.

Sometimes, I envision earning millions of dollars

And then the alarm rings, waking me out of my stupor.

Every day, I keep browsing the internet.

To search for an opportunity that would be my best bet.

I can't hold back my excitement anymore,

As I see writing contests and online jobs galore.

And then I start to don my thinking cap.

I start writing, tearing pages, and discarding scrap.
