Anxiety?

“Anxiety!” she screamed,

weeping over a bachelorette

I sat inside my mind,

trapped in a drifting daydream.

Cuts on my hand

bled like the Red Sea,

but even then

I wouldn’t weep

The next day I sat at the edge

and wondered if I jumped,

would I land on Mars

or between

the traffic of city cars?
