Another Chance

Updated: Jul 14

A tranquil world with emerald fields and serene ocean,

Melodious laughter and joyous tears of every kin

Is a forever longing dream for the wounded children who lie lifeless without any speck of emotion

Amidst the echoes of war pictured in front of broken stone and marble ruins.

The tiny feet blessed by eternal force

Helplessly walk under the scorching sun by the selfish

Where school is a delusion, hopes enchanted and diminish.

Stranded are tots to serve the greed of men who lack any remorse.

A soul so pure erased before entering this cruel world

Where her survival means endless atrocities that can’t be astray.

Innocent she in white; a long way she swirled

Before her culprits stood ahead of her on her usual way.

Penance to pay, pardon to seek

For our actions are against the orders of nature; so are we.

The wrong so brave, the right so meek

Another chance in life is all we plead, so it be.
