The fact that our society has allowed being a woman to morph from a blessing to a boon is a deplorable, reprehensible fact that is now our dejected reality. Little girls are now taught self-defense in school to protect them from dangers’ who are just a handful of misogynistic, conceited people. The root cause of this appalling problem is the dangers they are being taught to shield themselves from. They are the outcomes of a society that will be trampling our future, if continued. We get complaints about the latest news being filled with nothing but rapes, murders, and misery, but that is what has become of our present. The patriarchal pressure piling up from generations, and giving the misogynistic men behind this another ego boost has compelled us to mark pepper spray as an essential item. Political leaders do nothing except point fingers at who is to blame when it is all their combined lack of attention that has led to this. They make sets of fake, grand promises that are as old as Scully and Hitchcock, talking about the future when they fail to control their present. The length of our skirts is not the problem, society’s ignorance is. How much longer will the young and old have to suffer? Are generations full of this not enough?
