An Ode To A Blooming Soul
By Preetham Halwi
O fairest bloom, my heart’s delight,
Born of the earth, of warmth and light—
Stay near me now a little while,
And bless me with your fleeting smile.
From quiet bud to radiant grace,
You brightened every shadowed place,
Through storm and sun, through calm and strife,
I watched you shape a soul, a life.
The road was long, the path unclear,
You walked through doubt, you conquered fear,
With tender care, I held your hand,
And saw you learn to withstand.
I gave you a drink when the days were dry,
And stood with you beneath the sky,
Through joy and loss, through rise and fall,
I stayed beside you through it all.
When sorrow touched your brow with shade,
I brushed it off, a vow I made—
To guard you with unwavering will,
And love you deeper, deeper still.
And now, the hour draws gently near,
The ties once bound begin to clear,
Though from my side you now depart,
Your strength still beats within my heart.
Go forth, fair soul, hold fast your grace,
No storm can steal your rightful place,
Your light, your voice, your spirit true—
Shall bloom anew in all you do.
Then rise, bright flower—the hour is thine,
The stars are clear, the signs align,
Your life awaits—be bold, be brave,
Go, live—and let the wild world rave.
