An Ode Of A Prisoner

New horizons off the shore

All that lied was wasted chores

Where was I? I can’t assure

Nothing could I find, rest was impure

Shackles of insanity

All that left was my vanity

Struck was I, with a lightning of gold.

Nothing do I have now, not even a lump of coal

Devastated was I, locked in this room.

The sirens did cry, singing lore’s to the moon.

Loneliness pimped my pain to millions anew.

But alas there was nothing that I was able to do.

Mesmerising my thoughts, was a sparrow nearby

Rusting all blades that was once stuck inside

Shining were they, hopeless was I.

All that was needed was courage and motivation inside.
