An Encounter With Dogs

Worst day of my life. I had just set out to go to a craft store in Salt Lake with Papa. I had decided to go on my bicycle as I had not enjoyed a bicycle ride for quite some time. Minutes after I had just begun cycling, my cycle slanted towards the left where there were a lot of dogs and they got scared that I would hurt them.

They started chasing us and barking very loudly and we started cycling very fast and getting scared of the barks we fell down. We got hurt very badly. I had scratches on my elbow & knee and Papa got hurt on his knee too. We quickly steered the bicycle to a small resting place and sat down and pressed our scrapes.

We looked back to check that no dogs were still coming after us and started cycling again. I started cycling and because we both had got hurt it was very slow going. Finally we reached craft store and got what we wanted.

When we were going to return I didn’t feel like cycling anymore as I had got hurt so we hailed a rickshaw and went back home. It was a painful day and I thought I would enjoy a relaxing bicycle ride but it ended up being scary and at the same time adventurous.

I will not forget this frightening experience and will be more careful next time I go cycling.
