Amnesia

AMNESIA

Someone has amnesia,

But I can’t remember who.

I think the doctor told me,

Or my wife, or was it you?

I looked it up in a book,

But I can’t remember much,

Something about memory loss,

And the brain and such and such.

Yesterday I said I’ll call my son,

Or was it tomorrow, or today?

I’ll ask him about amnesia,

And see what he has to say.

I think amnesia is a disease,

So, no-one is to blame,

But whoever has it,

It’s a real damn shame.

My son said he told me,

Way back in November,

But who has amnesia,

I still can’t remember.

I guess remembering won’t matter,

No point getting a fever,

Because whoever’s got amnesia,

Won’t be able to remember either!
