Amaniah and the Cave of Light

One night, a young girl named Amaniah found herself running away from home. She did not know where she was going, but she kept walking and running for many days across fields, forests, and empty paths. Though she was tired, something deep inside kept calling her forward.

After many days of wandering, she reached a great mountain.

As she stood there, she noticed a warm, peaceful light glowing from a cave in the mountain. The light felt gentle and full of love. Slowly she walked closer.

Inside the cave stood a man dressed in white. His calmness, grandeur and love made it evident. It was Jesus.

He smiled and called her near.

Amaniah looked into His blue eyes, and in that very moment all her fears disappeared. She felt a peace and joy she had never known before.

Jesus opened His arms, and Amaniah sat on His lap like a small child with her father. She spoke and spoke, telling Him everything hidden in her heart. He listened patiently and comforted her.

After some time she said excitedly, “I must go tell everyone! They need to come and see You.”

Jesus smiled. So Amaniah left the mountain and spent many days going through the town telling people, “Jesus is in the cave! Come and see!”

At last, a crowd followed her.

But when they reached the mountain…Jesus was nowhere to be seen. The cave was empty.

People laughed at Amaniah.

“She is mad.”

“She imagined everything.”

One by one, they insulted her and left.

Heartbroken, Amaniah stayed behind and cried bitterly.

Then suddenly-the warm white light appeared again.

Jesus stood before her. Her face filled with joy.

But she said softly, “Jesus… I want to tell people about You again. But You need to be there.”

Jesus looked at her with kindness and said,

“I will be visible in this cave to all those who believe.”

With hope in her heart, Amaniah returned to the town.

Again she invited people.

But this time only four people believed her and agreed to come.

Together they climbed the mountain.

When they entered the cave-they saw Him.

Jesus stood there in light and love.

The four people fell silent. Their hearts filled with peace, joy, and wonder.

They praised Him. And then-

Amaniah woke up. Her eyes opened slowly. She was in her own room. It had all been a dream. But something was different.

The peace she had felt in the cave was still there. Her heart was beating faster. She sat up quietly, touching her chest. The comfort, the warmth, the joy-it had not disappeared with the dream.

She looked around in silence and whispered,

“Jesus…”

She could hardly believe what she felt. The mountain was gone. The cave was gone. But the peace remained.

And deep in her heart, she knew , the dream was nothing like anything she had seen or felt before. She knew for sure, that dream had a deep imprint on her and that she would never forget that dream.
