Am I...You?
By Sabyasachi Nautiyal
Am I the dark, that follows the twilight?
Am I the gust, portending a storm?
Am I the raven, cawing from the topmost branch?
Or the shadow under your bed, lacking a form?
Sometimes, I cause all sorts of anguish,
I cause all your well wishers to weep,
Am I, the root cause of all your mess?
The demon on your chest while you sleep?
Am I, the cause of cloudy skies?
The reason for all of the gloom?
Am I that which causes all to tremble in terror?
The wicked witch flying on her broom?
Am I that which poisons the lovers?
The root of the nefarious monkshood?
I breath fear into life, I cause the daily strife,
Of all, I suck out the good,
Am I, the cause for all your longing,
Because of me, you always miss your shot,
I am like Midas, but I am cursed very differently,
All I touch, turns into rot,
But who am I really, the one who brings misery?
The one that is always kept caged?
I am all that you are capable of,
Unleashed, only when you're enraged,
But of course, you won't dream of becoming like me?
This simply cannot be true!
Believe it, don't believe it, doesn't really matter,
For I already am
You.

Beautiful..
I hope to express as well as you do someday
Relatable
There’s a quiet pain here that lingers even after reading.
