Am I Not Brave

Am I not brave to carry pain all alone through these miles while faking a beautiful smile,

Am I not brave to stand strong by myself after breaking into a million pieces so many times,

Am I not brave to hide all those nasty scars behind this adorable mask,

Am I not brave to live with insecurities over all those years and wear those lenses to hold my tears,

Am I not brave to hear all the loud thoughts in my mind while everyone is asleep in the dead silence

of moonlight,

Am I not brave to see my hope each passing day digging their own grave,

Am I not brave to face all my fears all alone which have within my mind now grown,

Am I not brave to speak to the crowd even after being surrounded by self doubt,

Am not brave to bleed every thing on the paper from my pen and yet find a little content,

Am I not brave to wake up everyday to see everything slowly ebbing away..
