Am I Losing You?

By Mahima. S

The glamorous city, the crowded places.

I now only see you in a tiny screen.

Your new place, new life.

It’s like I’m one of your so-called friends.

You said we’ll always be together,

Was that a lie?

Your lustrous new friends,

When I see you laughing with them,

My heart shatters in a million pieces.

I want you all to myself.

In your now exciting life,

I’m insignificant.

You’re slipping away from my hands, slowly.

And I just can’t let go, like you did.

I’m hung up on your occasional calls and half-hearted texts.

Come back to me, like the older days,

It’ll be just us once again.

Please.
