Alternative Therapy

Started off as a few compiled sounds,

Presently a tool quite profound as

it could shake the very ground.

Transcend the soul to another realm,

like rain filling to the brim an empty well.

Bringing vibrations to the heart to dwell,

It could make the depressed happily swell

With the power to give one purpose and

a newly chartered course,

to those in need, investors to endorse and

the have-nots, the power to enforce.

Reinvention for one it could be,

while for others, it’s great for the feels.

Altering one’s state of mind,

It could imprison you in your own mind

or break you free from life’s confines.

Strip you off till your last dime

or prove benign and let you shine,

Like divine light that caught one’s eye

In this darkness so sublime.

A warm caress it can give,

along with the urge to swell and jive,

not just to the bold, but even the naïve

at the break-even point where you feel most alive.

So answer me, without music, isn’t life awry ?
