Albatross

By Mansi Jani

In the vast sky, a bold flyer.

Reserved in spirit, yet fearless diver.

Feasts on squids, krills, and fishes,

territorial guardians, enact ritualistic dances.

In the southern and northern Pacific’s embrace,

where legends glide, their elegance in grace.

God’s artistry in feathers arrayed.

In the ether, wide wings of purest white are portrayed.

Haunts the storm and mocks the wave.

In a lifelong bond, their love is engraved.

Rarely seen, momentary glimpse across.

Behold the enchantment of the Albatross.
