Air - An Ally

My one and only supporter

As it kisses my face

All this time I’ve had to suffer

And bury myself in faked grace

The air understood, gave me the very grace I lacked,

As I maniacally danced & sang my lungs out

It kept me in place, holding the building of my body, when it was cracked

And the seed of self-confidence slowly began to sprout

But where would I find, an ally in this war of life

Who’s ready to die for another; has many dependent on them, yet doesn’t think

twice

This air is my only friend, my shield against every strife

I have now realized mine, and my oppressors vice
