Ahead Awaits

Thinking about the future,

About what waits ahead,

Is it sweet or sour,

Thinking and planning waits ahead.

Are you sure?

Comes the question in mind,

Sometimes it’s the right choice,

And sometimes it takes time.

Thinking about the future,

Is it scary?

Are the things in your hand?

And will it all be merry?

Economy thrashing day by day,

Changes happening more and more,

How can I even display,

What people are going through today?

Thinking about the future,

Raises a lot of questions in mind,

Will there be another disease?

Or is it just a fright?

When I look around today,

the fright is eating us day by day,

Whether it’s the war,

Or the disease which might dismay.

Thinking about the future,

What problems will it display?

I pray to God to keep us safe,

And I hope otherwise won’t take place.

‘Help others, help others’,

People will go chanting by,

But do they know what might happen,

If their life flashes by?

Thinking about the future,

About what waits ahead,

It gives me chills,

But not knowing would be a mistake.

Anyways, just think about it this way,

Whatever happens will take place soon,

Instead of worrying at night,

Understand that your life is a boon.
