Again

By Krish Sharma

Evening winds, I have been talking to,

There is this drug I might have found.

Told her what I tell all of them,

Just a shell I am with placid hollow sound.

Whispered something to me she did:

"It is okay to feel nothing, but nothing is felt with a smile too... cannot say I feel

nothing because feeling nothing is a feeling too."

Looking into that different world,

Contrasting the ways to which I was bound.

Light years ahead, maybe,

But I could be losing ground.

Her roses mocking a cigarette,

And that touch being the fire.

This stray, abstracted heart,

Pitching pebbles on a wire.

The way her ballads hymn,

A dainty basset hound.

Evening winds, I've been talking to,

There's this girl I might have found.
