You were the dream I never wanted to wake

but now a nightmare I wish to escape

darling, those memories, was it all fake?

my love, now, incapacitate

I thought it was the sadness you wanted to leave

not me, or what I feel

was it not our love, you wanted to weave?

now you have weaved a sorrow I am unable to heal

left me in despair, I cannot grasp

my love, come back how you were

maybe to your care, still I clasp

in any way, if it is fair.

You had a smile

that gleamed through rough patches

the solemn melancholy, in a pile

for my faith is in scratches.
